Schedule 3 — Maintenance & Support (M&S) Terms
Part of the Alefbits Master EULA (Software Products). Applies to all …-MS part numbers and
to the M&S included in subscriptions.
1. What M&S includes
- Updates and upgrades — all patch, minor and major releases of the licensed products released during the M&S period.
- Support — email/portal support, business days, response targets: severity 1 (production blocked): 1 business day; severity 2: 2 business days; severity 3/questions: 5 business days.
- License administration — rehosts per policy, license-server reconfiguration assistance.
- Hardware/driver updates — new device support and driver maintenance released during the period.
M&S does not include: on-site services, training, custom development, OEM-specific test-suite development (available as engineering services under separate SOW).
2. Pricing and term
Annual M&S is priced at the catalog M&S rate (currently 20% of the perpetual list price of the covered licenses) per year. The first year is mandatory with every perpetual purchase; thereafter M&S renews annually and may be dropped at renewal.
3. Co-termination
All M&S lines of a Licensee co-terminate on one anniversary date; mid-year additions are pro-rated.
4. Reinstatement after a lapse
Lapsed M&S can be reinstated by paying the M&S fees for the lapsed period plus the current year (capped at 2 years of back-fees), or by repurchasing licenses at list, whichever is lower. Version eligibility then resumes from the reinstatement date.
5. Supported versions
Licensor supports the current major release and the previous major release (security fixes only for the older one).
